Watch a Humpback Whale Nearly Swallow Two Kayakers
Two female kayakers on a whale watching expedition off the coast ofCalifornia were NEARLY swallowed by a humpback whale. Luckily, neither of them were injured.
The women were surprised because the water was calm, and the whales were pretty far away. But one whale was deep under water and they just happened to be in its path when it surfaced to feed on fish with its jaws wide open.
One of the women was filming the other whales when it happened. You see the peaceful ocean and then all hell breaks loose as she goes underwater and spins every which way before surfacing again.
There are also eyewitness videos from nearby kayakers and paddle boarders, and those are more frightening because it looks like the whale is swallowing the women. This happened near Avila Beach, California, which is a popular whale watching area along the central coast of the state.
This is a compilation video that begins with the bystander clips from different angles. The "overturned woman's" video is at 0:33. It's a quick clip, and then it repeats and goes longer.)
