CROSSWINDS CASINO ANNOUNCES GROUNDBREAKING AHEAD OF EXPANSION

PARK CITY, Kansas - The Wyandotte Nation is proud to announce that Crosswinds Casino, which first opened to great fanfare in March 2021, will be expanding. The official groundbreaking will take place on Thursday, June 26th, at 11 am.

At the heart of this expansion is an elegant Four Diamond, 15-story destination hotel with 238 rooms, including 32 luxurious suites. Additional hotel amenities will include a pool with an outdoor bar and party area, a fitness center, private meeting rooms, and an 8,500 square foot ballroom and pre-function space with a private bar that can host conferences, corporate events, weddings, private parties, and more.

When asked what the expansion means for the Wyandotte Nation, Chief Billy Friend shared, “The expansion of Crosswinds Casino presents an opportunity for the Wyandotte Nation to enhance its economic standing and support its community's needs and cultural heritage.”

Kevin Lien, General Manager for the property, added, “We are poised to elevate the guests’ gaming and hospitality experience with a more spacious casino floor that will offer over 1,400 slot machines and clearly defined smoking and non-smoking sections while retaining our niche in Oklahoma-style gaming. The expansion creates a destination that will captivate and thrill all who visit!”

The new Crosswinds Casino and Resort will also boast a dedicated high-limit room, an exclusive VIP lounge, a vibrant Tap House and sports bar concept with a large video wall, a food hall, a delightful coffee shop, a center bar, various lounges, a gift shop, and a comprehensive rewards center.

“Over the past five years, we have made a dedicated effort to get to know our customer and what drives their decision to choose Crosswinds Casino for their entertainment. The addition of the hotel adds a “stay and play” opportunity to provide them a true casino resort experience,” stated Kelly Carpino, CEO of WTOK, the economic development division of Wyandotte Nation.

Crosswinds Casino Resort expansion will add 350 new team members, bolstering our commitment to the community. The anticipated completion date for the project is the summer of 2027.

Crosswinds Casino Resort is the fourth casino property owned by the Wyandotte Nation. The Nation also owns and operates 7th Street Casino in Kansas City, KS, River Bend Casino and Hotel, and Lucky Turtle Casino in Wyandotte, OK
