Say it ain't so!
Wichita's 92-year-old farm will be closing in late September or October, according to KAKE.com.
Cox Farm has given me fun memories with my family and friends. It was the first "farm" I visited when I moved to Kansas. It was also my first time getting lost in a corn maze.
As sad as I am to see Cox Farm go, I understand why The Steins, who operated the farm for 12 years, want to retire. Running a farm is no joke! Long days of labor with no days off.
I am interested in seeing who will take over the site. The Stein's say the property has already drawn an interest. Let's hope it draws something good that will continue to create memories for family and friends.
