The world has been talking about Banksy, how his painting "Girl With Balloon" was suddenly shredded when it was sold at auction the other day. But was it? Chicago artist Josh Gilbert thinks the whole thing stinks.
He broke down his theory to Bored Panda and explained how the shredding was more than likely an elaborate hoax that Banksy, Sotheby's and a few others put together. He makes very interesting points about the shredding and why this actually wouldn't work the way it was presented in Banksy's video. Add to that the fact that the shredded painting has increased in value by millions of dollars, this whole thing has a lot of people wondering. Hmmmm...
