Californians May Soon Face A Serious Bacon Shortage Under New State Law

If pig farmers can't abide by California's new state law, they will be unable to sell their pork products in the state

Under the new law that goes into effect on January 1st, farmers must provide proof that animals have adequate space to live a healthy life. Chicken and veal providers seem to have gotten on board, but pork providers not so much.

The result could mean an extreme shortage, or even complete unavailability of pork products like bacon.
