Queens of the Stone Age have canceled all 2024 tour dates as Josh Homme receives "essential medical care throughout the remainder of the year." The affected dates are in North America, where the band was planning to make a small fall trek with The Kills and play a handful of festivals. While the festival appearances had to be canceled, they hope to reschedule club shows in 2025. The band shared the unfortunate news in a statement on social media.

“QOTSA regret to announce the cancellation and/or postponement of all remaining 2024 shows. Josh has been given no choice but to prioritize his health and to receive essential medical care throughout the remainder of the year," the statement reads. "Josh and the QOTSA family are so thankful for your support and the time we were able to spend together over the last year. Hope to see you all again in 2025.”

The decision comes after it was announced last month that the frontman had to undergo "emergency surgery," in the United States, forcing the band to cancel European tour dates and festival appearances. Homme's health condition has not been revealed.
